What we collect and why.
Sponsed is pre-launch. This policy covers the waitlist and basic site use, and will evolve as we open.
What we collect
When you join the Sponsed waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. Submission metadata such as timestamp, IP address, and user agent is captured by our forms processor (see “Where information is stored” below). Source attribution metadata (UTM parameters, referrer URL, and source page path) is captured alongside waitlist email submissions to help Sponsed understand how visitors discover the pre-launch site. No cookies are used.
Why we collect it
We use waitlist information to notify you when Sponsed opens and to share occasional pre-launch updates. We do not use it for advertising or marketing beyond that purpose.
Where information is stored
Sponsed uses Netlify Forms to receive and store waitlist submissions. Netlify acts as a subprocessor. You can review their privacy posture in the Netlify Privacy Policy.
Your rights
You can request removal of your email and any associated submission data at any time. Email admin@sponsed.com with the address you submitted and we will remove it promptly.
No sale of information
Sponsed does not sell, rent, or trade waitlist information to third parties.
Cookies and analytics
The pre-launch site is intentionally minimal. We do not use marketing cookies or third-party trackers on this site beyond what is required for the waitlist form to function.
Waitlist and beta application data collection
When you join the Waitlist or apply to the Beta Testing Program, Sponsed collects information you provide, which may include:
- Applicant name
- Email address
- Applicant type (creator or organization)
- Application type (waitlist or beta)
- Creator-specific or organization-specific onboarding details you provide
- Referral code or referral source, if applicable
- Timestamp and source page of submission
- Consent acknowledgements you provide
This information is used to process your application, communicate with you about your application status, and prepare for program launch. See the Waitlist Program Terms (Draft) and the Beta Testing Program Terms (Draft) for related program terms.
Waitlist and beta application data retention
Sponsed retains waitlist and beta application information for up to 24 months from submission, subject to final program terms. If you become an account holder, this retention period may be renewed upon account creation.
You may request deletion of your application information by contacting Sponsed at admin@sponsed.com. Deletion requests are honored subject to applicable law and final program terms.
Marketing communications
Application-related communications, such as confirmation that your application was received or status updates about your application, are transactional and not subject to marketing email opt-out. You may opt in separately to receive marketing communications about Sponsed updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
Geographic scope (V1)
Sponsed's V1 waitlist and beta application program is available to applicants in the United States. International eligibility may be addressed in future program updates, subject to final program terms.
Third-party social platform integrations (TikTok, Meta/Instagram)
Sponsed is preparing to integrate with third-party social platforms including TikTok and Meta/Instagram so that creators can connect their public-profile metrics for use within the Sponsed creator-brand coordination experience. These integrations require the creator's explicit consent on the third-party platform's authentication flow before any data is exchanged with Sponsed.
When you connect a TikTok or Meta/Instagram account to Sponsed, the categories of information Sponsed may receive are the categories you authorize on the platform's consent screen. These typically include public-profile metadata (display name, account type, follower count) and aggregate engagement metrics from your own account's analytics. Sponsed does not request video content, direct messages, or non-public account contents.
The information Sponsed receives from these platforms is stored within your Sponsed account and used to (a) display your profile and metrics to brand partners you choose to be visible to, and (b) generate the normalized cross-platform metrics that Sponsed's discovery experience presents. The information is not sold to third parties and is not used for advertising targeting.
You can revoke Sponsed's access to your connected third-party accounts at any time. See the Data Deletion page for revocation guidance for each platform and for instructions on requesting deletion of cached information Sponsed has retrieved.
Sponsed's use of TikTok information is subject to TikTok's applicable developer terms. Sponsed's use of Instagram / Meta information is subject to Meta's applicable Platform Terms. The specific terms applicable to Sponsed's integration with each platform will be confirmed with each platform's developer-portal approval process.
Changes to this policy
Sponsed is pre-launch. This policy will be expanded and updated as the product opens. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date below.
